Foreword

I would like to personally thank Prime Minister Kanta Sharma and the historians of the New Chen Academy for their help in writing this chapter. Your guided tour of the new capital city was quite generous, and your dedicated attention to my academic cause was too kind.
RAKSHASA
Panthera tigris sapiens, commonly known as the rakshasa, are a species of humanoid tiger-like beings native to the River Kingdom. They stand fully upright at around eight to nine feet tall, with single-jointed arms and legs, each ending in five digits and tipped with a retractable black claw. Their bodies are covered in a short, smooth fur that is marked with stripes on the back with a colored chest and torso. Their fur can come in a wide range of colorful patt  People of the Cauldron: Rakshasa pt. 2or, a Brief Anthropological and Taxonomic Perspective on the History of the Peoples, Cultues, and Kingdoms of the Cauldron

CULTURE
In the wake of the Great Collapse, the culture of the rakshasa changed wildly from the days of the Duskrta Dynasty and their oppressive rule. The first is a flourishing of the arts, and greater public access to them, as under the Duskrta art had been a privilege restricted to the social elite. More social freedom, greater distribution of wealth, and admittedly the sacking of wealthy estates all made high art and the tools to create it more available. This combined with a greater interest in peaceful, beauty-creating pursuits such as art and entertainment, leading to an explosion of the art industry. This focus on expression seeped into the architecture of reconstruction efforts in the kingdom, turning block-arranged slums into vibrant hubs and imposing fortresse Just wanted to confirm, he's got this lined up. MORE FACTS:

- The Rakshasa have hematophagous (i.e. blood-drinking) tendencies, meaning that their canines are actually much sharper than a normal tiger, and they have longer tongues to lap up blood. Primarily, they prefer to eat meat..

- Ever since the Rakshasa have been liberated from their oppression, much of their culture is very artistically inclined, as a way to celebrate their new freedom of expression. It helps that the Rakshasa's heightened feline senses allow them to practice art forms in greater detail and precision.

- They have also invented a form of music called "balli", specially designed for the Crystal Ball industry. A form of magically recorded performance, which combines song, dance, and stage theater into a single art form which has become a juggernaut of an industry. Its ability to help the Rakshasa connect to other races, and create job opportunities has made its importance truly staggering. Even more so, considering Crystal Ball media wasn't native to the River Kingdom, but entirely imported from trading with Humans.

- The Balli Industry even has its place in politics. Particularly considering that its current Prime Minister, Kanta Sharma, is a former Balli actress who used her popularity and connections to catapult her into public eye as a politician.

- The Rakshasa are very reluctant to talk about their society's past. Many try to put it into terms that make it sound less atrocious than it really was. Kanta Sharma is particularly guilty of this.
