Description FOLKS...meet the Vindicator who stopped being a Vindicator! I dunno how I came up with all this stuff for him, but WOWIE! I especially liked developing his powers, since I figure it runs on Devil Fruit Logic. Even if your power seems silly, you can do a lot of neat stuff with it so long as you use your imagination.

Alan Rails
OMEGA Hero

POWERS:
- Summon Ghost Train (Can clear obstacles and enemies, provide defense, and transport.)
- Summon Ghostly Passengers (Can temporarily call upon ghosts to fight for him or do his bidding)
- Ghostly Girder Weapon (Can use this weapon to absorb a person's life force wth every successful hit)
- Ectoplasmic Steam (Can use his whistle to blow a freezing steam that immobilizes enemies)
- Spirit World Travel (Can phase in and out of the spirit world, to travel faster and avoid harm)
- Locomotive Strength (Can become as powerful, durable, and fast as a locomotive while sacrificing maneuverability)

BACKGROUND: Of course, you know THAT story. But probably not the whole story. During a train ride home, a railroad accident occurred, derailing it and killing almost everyone aboard. Except for Alan, who had been saved by some sort of phantom train conductor, who placed a ghostly whistle on Alan's neck. This at first affected him like a terrible curse, leaving him wishing for death. Yet he had been convinced to live, because of the Vindicators.

At first, things seemed great. The Vindicators were good company, he got to put his power to truly good use, and he even fell in love and got married with Supernova! Except...over time he found himself doing reprehensible acts for the "greater good". He may be prideful and quick to anger. But he had never forgotten his roots and moral code. And any instance of having to compromise that was a terrible experience for him. Things that he couldn't forgive himself for.

It all finally came to a head during their mission with Rugtla, as his teammates readily sacrificed her, a high-school age girl, to get ahead in their mission without slowing down. CrashCache or not...this was inexcusable. And upon finding out Tara was a Weirdness Magnet, their plans for her disgusted him even more. So...he left. He decided to go back to Earth to fight crime on his own terms. And to use his power to its fullest potential, rather than restricting himself to fulfill a plan's steps.

Upon returning to Earth, he found himself fighting. Fighting for his life, and fighting to save the world and Tara Watts. Because...the Earth was undergoing Week-XK. Aka Tesseract's Wrath. The week following IMMEDIATELY after Milla, Jason and Watts went to go to Gravity Falls to find Tara's Panacea, which lasted until they came back and cured her.

(WARNING: WE DON'T TALK ABOUT WEEK-XK. Week-XK was just hell and weirdness. All you really need to know is that after it was over, Tara Watts got a eight figure compensation payment from the government, and a profound apology from everyone on the containment team who didn't yet commit suicide.

Oh, and Alan Rails saved the world, which almost ended, and Little Miss Tesseract is getting Tara Abuse withdrawal symptoms. Serves her right.)

Yeah dude, like aw man...

I mean, to Tessie, seeing Tara DD-69F in horrific agony is like a drug to her! And seeing her traumatized is brings her relaxation. So just imagine, after all the horrors Tessie had thrust upon Tara, she STILL walked away with a happy ending!

Poor Tessie's mind is slipping. Especially since she can't get her fix anymore, what with Tara being barrier-protected!

Hmm, what exactly does the barrier protect against? Just Tesseract Tara or bad stuff in general?

It basically protects against Weirdness. Unexplained phenomena, anomalous entities, supernaturally powerful beings, interdimensional hazards...the kinds of things that she'd attract by existing.

This especially implies to Tesseract Tara, who can't so much as touch her, or use her powers to do ANYTHING to her. Anything that harms Tara HAS to be normal

I'm wondering whether or not Krazlavlaak Tara'd be able to bypass said barrier, because I doubt she'd count as "Weirdness" per se

Well, if she comes out of a portal without decontaminating herself afterwards, she can't bypass it.

But if she DOES clean herself up, then she can probably bypass the barrier! Although by this time, Tara might be well prepared enough to fight back. Not to mention, her friends are no pushovers either.

How would she go about decontaminating herself?

Well it's simple! All she needs to do is make some Portal Fluid, throw a bunch of organic matter into it, and then douse herself in it. Then she'll be able to pass off as life from DD-69F!

Oh I think I get it, so nothing from outside DD-69F can damage Tara unless they're "camouflaged" in a way?

And I take it anything native to DD-69F automatically bypasses said barrier?

Yup! No extra-dimensional thing can harm her! Although things from DD-69F could, so long as they don't start using magic or anything.

Although do note that it's physically impossible for Tesseract Tara to bypass the barrier in ANY way, shape or form. She's a Weirdness Magnet, so there's no way for her to do it!

Now this Alan Rails is a hero, unlike the canon one.
Great job on the character.

now i'm curious about Week-XK, i imagine Bill Cipher and Tesseract Tara were really doing the hellish end of the world scenario.
