Vergil's father played a huge part in why Vergil is the way he is today. His father pushed him constantly to be the best, to be useful, to serve a purpose and his father was not forgiving when young Vergil slipped up in his teachings. Vergil learned to stay quiet and listen carefully, assuring he did everything the right way and to his father's standards so as not to anger him.
