It is tradition in the land of Ul to honor a soldier with a bejewelled golden necklace each time he has fought in defense of the Sultan.

Ejdeha has been rewarded with so many, they tangle around his neck and chest.

And yet, there are still some who question his loyalty. "Why," they ask, "Have so many sought to kill the Sultan while his greatest guardian is there?"

Ejdeha does not answer their jibes.

But if any assassin survived their encounter with Ejdeha, they might report back to their master the list of names he demands of them, which gets longer with each accusation against him.
