Same with Alan Scott , they should have stuck with him in the final script. He's been retconned from the DC Universe when they wrote Green Lantern: Secret Origin, at least he would have had an impact in the movie.Besides, Parallax was too big a villain to have him be a starter villain for the first movie, which they could have saved for a later sequel. And with the reboot film for the DCEU Green Lantern Corps, they might have bigger plans for Parallax.

Yeah, I think either Legion or Atrocitus should've been the main villains, especially when you remember Abin-Sur was KILLED by the latter in the comics. As for Parallax in the Green Lantern Corps movie, I think they should build him up as well as the rest of the Spectrum Beasts and, in case there's a trilogy, have the third and final film be a Spectrum War adaptation.
