This is both my entry for Lasaros competition and one of my diploma works (sounds fancier than it is in this case), the other three works must be finised till next wendsday, so it´s busy, busy, busy... I decided very early on that I wanted to express different emotions with these four pictures, and the emotion in this picture is...you can guess
. It´s not that difficult, although it´s propably not the first one that comes in to your mind. I really enjoyed making this pic and returning to the old subject. Someone might recall that this is not the first picture I have made of these murderous biodroids (or whatever you want to call them). Cruelty is our nature was the first one, and you can find it from my scrap gallery if you are interested.

There are many details in this to like. At first glance, you don't notice the blood, which makes the motive even more interresting when you do. The first emotion that comes into mind is regret.
I like the composition with the level title takign up part of the focus.The window adds to the whole, but I dind it disturbingly close to the character. If the image was taller, the level title and the black window coudl be further apart form the character - I think that would make for a better composition.
I like the simplicity of the palette, but I dislike the highlighting in the colored fields and especially the dark grey ones, such as the wings - but I get you were in a hurry to finsih

wow very touching ! her back makes me think of the awakening in the matrix, maybe you wanted to refer to the chaotic world of SF where a lot of elements are always newly recombined !

Thanks. I made this so long ago that even I don´t remember what exactly I waas trying to refer to when doing this. But yes, the world she inhabits does have some similiarities to Matrix, visually at least. I really should do a new picture of that world.

Oh this is lovely! The details, the agonised look on her face, the wonderful colouring... it is a slight unbalanced yes, but that could easily be fixed if you added shadows, as you said further up.
Really like her headpiece, and general outfit; the glass (plastic?) in the headpiece is so neat, and the fact that the hair actually is slightly blurry beheind it.
A very inspirational piece, to tell you the truth. Great work.

Oooo, I like this a lot! A whole lot! The colors are very rusty, like something old, but the objects are all futuristic and new. I love the clothing design. Very awesome with the most random elements added in. I'm not sure if the blood is the character's or someone else's, but it seems like he or she's holding it close, like it's something precious and not to be spilled frivolously. Awesome.

Wow this is great! I like her pose and the composition of the picture is well in balance. I like the little details you like to make, the (kannukset) boots heels and such. The fact that you can see the space from the window is great detail. The shadow looks natural even tought I miss the lighter parts on her headpieces seetrough-parts. Hieno space meininki. Sie oot kehittynny. Paljo.

I agree with the first comment but I cant help but like this pic .. I love the idea behind this image. Maybe add a bit more to the background to liven up your awesome character?

Joo, samaa sarjaahan tämä. Tosin se raiskattava tyyppi ei ollut näitä naamari tyyppejä, (pitäsi keksiä joku hiano nimi...) vaan ihan tavallinen pulliainen.

jaa joo, nii muistelinki! sähä olit keksiny jo vähän draamaa sille yhelle häiskälle siinä kuvassa, joka oli repiny sen naamarin itteltään pois.... ja sil oli sellaset paskaks menneet kasvot.
mitäs hänelle kuuluu? ja mitäs ihmeen touhua noi lonkerot tuolla puuhailee jossain avaruusasemalla tai jollain?

Tussattu on. Tosin pitäis kyllä opetella käsittelee lyijäri luonnoksia niin että vois värittää suoraan päälle, säästäis vähän aikaa.

Mitä suotta kun sulta onnistuu toi tussaus niin hyvin. Tosin ajan säästäminen on tietysti välillä hyödyksi jos tarttee tehdä paljon kerralla.

Haaa... *___* The way you colour, the way you use detail...! I think the emotion you're trying to go for here is very well passed through to the viewer. If there's something "bad" to say about this piece then it would have something do with the composition of the picture. It looks kind of unbalanced, in my humble opinion.
