This is a scetch I made last summer and only now bothered to finish. I usually don´t feel comfortable submitting a bit unfinished pictures like this, but then again I don´t have time to work on it any more that this, so it will have to do. Actually the reason why I bothered with this is the hair. I love drawing hair, and this time I think I have managed to create something a bit different.Kyllä se sokeakin kana joskus jyvän löytää.
Btw, this picture was inspired by Botticelli´s The Birth of Venus. Don´t take it too seriously

I would like it so much better if it was sans gun. The link in American culture between sexy/cool and guns and violence tends to disturb me, and I see this echoed in your piece.

I think you have a point. I don´t remember what I quite thought when I was doing this, but now that I look this piece I have to agree that the gun doesn´t have any reason at all to be there. And yes, what you said about guns being sexy/cool is indeed rather disturbing, and now I hope that I had taken a copletely new direction when doing this picture. Thanks for your comment

cool! I love seeing artists do something a little different when inspired by the masters.. - and this certainly fits that bill! ^_^ Great job on the hair, and the details in her costume. the Gun together with her hooves really go towards makin' a kinda sinister feelin' to this beauty! ^_^

I don't think the gun really fits with the rest of the imagery but her hair and dress are wonderful. Nice choice of colors as well. Cheers!

The horse-legs (If they are horselegs..O_O; ) look really interesting, and the flowing red hair is so...guuhhh... hair. I love hair. *swims in the hair*
The gown is beautifull, and the idea is so original... I'd just wish this would be a bit bigger file, that I could see all the beautifull details better... *tihrustaa*
