Description It's been a while since I've drawn a proper Link picture. Plus I've always wanted to draw the Dark Link from SSBB. I had to change his appearance though, otherwise it'll just look like Link vs one big dark blob :-/

Glad to see positive feedback - I was a bit worried about the black smoke effect (never drawn smoke before)

THIS DRAWING RECENTLY GOT STOLEN! To the offender: I have reduced my usual watermark here for everyone's benefit, and did not expect to be taken advantaged of in that way. Very unimpressed. Watermark has now been amended.

If there ever is another Zelda game, I'm hoping that Dark Link will be included as a boss. I know, it's been done before, but the story idea behind it could be something along the lines of the Hero trying to master the Darkness in himself, with D-Link being the manifestation of his negative traits: Hate, pride, recklessness, etc.


After all, what greater opponent is there than ones' own self?

I don't regret faving this. I really don't. This is AMAZING! You made it seem realistic without it looking awkward. Realism in Zelda pics just look... weird to me, but this takes the cake. It's awesome!

Well thanks!Β  Cartoons are just exaggerated realism if you think about it - maybe you're just used to seeing Zelda characters in cartoon format since that is all they have ever presented them as in the official artworks...Β  I actually liked the Twilight Princess one most because it was more realistic than the others and I like thinking beyond the box when it comes to fan art because it's how I interpret the characters rather than just reproducing the same style and what not as the official stuff
