Just trying to see what Link would look like if I translated my stylised version of him into more realistic proportions... eh.. I'm not sure if I've done it right
Might render it when I have the skills to one day

That is very well done: I see subtle but important hints of video-game Link among the realistic-link. And did I mention I love his expression? It seems to say I'm ready for anything.

Thanks ^^ It comes down to personal preference doesn't it hehe - I prefer him older because I'd kinda imagine if I were to date him, it be preferable if he weren't a boy XD

Isn't it hard to get the body positions right? Like posture and all? How do you get them right? (I'm learning the basics right now and I need A LOT of help...)

It is difficult, but I would suggest practice drawing people in a neutral position like standing or plain sitting to get used to the proportions - you don't have to make this your character drawing, but just for practice in general... do it enough times and you'll start to get the sense of ratios. Then you can play around with poses once you've got the basics down, but still you need to use references whether they be photos or other drawings especially if it's at an exaggerated/extreme angle. Alternatively, pose yourself in the mirror (I do that a lot when I can't find references XD )
Because I usually draw in a semi realistic style, my ratios won't be 100% accurate to real life - more like 80% at most as I tend to exaggerate certain features or proportions. It's still important for me to maintain some resemblance to realistic proportions so that it looks convincing if that makes sense?
