Just trying to see what Link would look like if I translated my stylised version of him into more realistic proportions... eh.. I'm not sure if I've done it right
Might render it when I have the skills to one day

Try Posemaniacs - you can choose not only which pose, but also male or female and in different body types too! [link] Can't think off the top of my head where to look for linework and shading/colouring techniques though, since I find things out myself by experimenting. Just try different ways until you find one that suits you

Yeah! Art, for me is where I can be myself. Without anyone telling me to be someone im not. This is where basically my life exist! I enjoy doing art because when people see my work and are amazed by it, it inspire me to work even harder. So im doing whatever it takes for me to draw better!

Thanks XD It took me a while to merge realism with an anime-like style of my own. If you want to draw more realistically, the best practice is to actually draw realism to get used to the proportions and then exaggerate certain features to suit what look you're after. Hope that helps

I hope to improve on my realistic style. I can draw realism from life no problem - it's inventing something like an imaginary face and drawing it real looking that is so challenging XD

This actually looks excellent! I don't think he looks that 'animeish' here. Link and Vega have such... idealized features so that even when translated into a realistic context it's still really beautiful/effeminate. That's the way I see it at least, lol. When it comes to Link, I think there's a reason girls tend to do a better job cosplaying as him...

Thanks and yeah it was tricky to draw them so they're not too girly XD I think I accidentally made Link look much younger than I intended though... he looks more teen here than adult

If you don't mind me asking. Did you use a reference or anything? Because lots of artists can draw realistic fan-arts but I don't get how they do it.

Thanks! I didn't use any references. I normally draw in a semi anime style that sort of verges on realism a little so I just imagined what Link would look like if I made the proportions closer to those of real life
