My version of Dark Link for the LoZ villains tribute onAs some of you may already know, I DON'T ever draw Dark Link literally. I took this tribute as an opportunity to expand on my interpretation of him as a combination of my most memorable encounters with him, and how I would like to see him included in future LoZ games. I thought it would be interesting to play with the idea of Dark Link being more substantial than just Link's shadow/evil copy - what if he were to have his own feelings, agendas, etc... and being the evil opposite of Link, and knowing what he knows, I think Dark Link could make one of the most formidable villains that the green clad hero could ever face
Colours borrowed from the Dark Link in Super Smash Bros Brawl with my own adjustments. Setting is that eerie room in one of the Ocarina of Time dungeons where Dark Link is the boss. And I made a point of having him right handed, and holding a dark version of the Master Sword

awww thank you! Drawing is something that I've taught myself since I was small, but I've had to keep pushing myself to where I am today... having said that I don't think I could've done it if I didn't enjoy it - Just keep practicing and persisting if you really want to get good at anything

You're welcome! I've tried drawing for years and years and I do still dabble a little in drawing every now and again. I guess i'm just more of a photographer than a drawing person.

Everyone's different and you shouldn't feel bad about it. Certain things just come to some people more easily than others and I remember drawing as a kid to keep myself out of boredom mainly XD I can't take good photos to save my life and I think it's an art in itself so be proud you have that skill ^^

Yeah I am proud to have that skill, almost everything around us is an art form of sorts and people need to realize all of that and respect people's works not just the kinds of works that they themselves like. I'm not saying they have to like it just respect it. I respect all forms of art and there are some (like yours) that I just adore. Keep up the great work

You're so right! When you think about it, since Dark Link is essentially 'born' of Link, he would probably know everything that Link knows...and he could use all of it against him! Best bad guy ever x3 I hope he's in future LoZ games...(I wished that they would have replaced just one of the Imprisoned fights in SS with a Dark Link fight...

I actually have to figure out the techniques myself (and I'm not really sure if I'm doing them right or as efficient as they could be... ) I learn by observing other artists' works and trying to figure out how they did theirs, but the best way is to search online for any basic tutorials or even go to your local bookshop and look in the graphics section? Hope that helps and all the best with your art

This is a very nice picture, and I've said it before, but I really like your colour combination. He looks good in the TP/SSBB design.
I think making him right handed is a nice touch, suggesting that he is Link's (dark) mirror image. Very nice use of gray hues in the colour scheme.
As much as I like this picture, I like your way of thinking as well. I don't see Dark as a mindless, shady copy of Link. The thought of him having a mind of his own, makes his character so much more intriguing and interesting. I don't think he'd be as straightforward as many of the "traditional" Zelda villains. He'd be able to manipulate (from) the shadows, making the threat much more interesting and subtle.

I think, that Dark Link has so much more potential to take any role (good or bad) he's given. He's such an enigma and there are so many possible interesting origin stories. I would love for there to be a game that focused more on Dark Link.

Yes, I did. That was cuteness overload. Though I usually prefer an adult version of Link, but in this case I didn't mind at all.

The funniest part to me was that Link actually had gay tendencies towards himself - hahaha, I couldn't stop laughing at that. Red and Blue were the best.
