My version of Dark Link for the LoZ villains tribute onAs some of you may already know, I DON'T ever draw Dark Link literally. I took this tribute as an opportunity to expand on my interpretation of him as a combination of my most memorable encounters with him, and how I would like to see him included in future LoZ games. I thought it would be interesting to play with the idea of Dark Link being more substantial than just Link's shadow/evil copy - what if he were to have his own feelings, agendas, etc... and being the evil opposite of Link, and knowing what he knows, I think Dark Link could make one of the most formidable villains that the green clad hero could ever face
Colours borrowed from the Dark Link in Super Smash Bros Brawl with my own adjustments. Setting is that eerie room in one of the Ocarina of Time dungeons where Dark Link is the boss. And I made a point of having him right handed, and holding a dark version of the Master Sword

Great personal interpretation of Dark Link. I agree with you; Nintendo should place him in the next Zelda console game and make him more than just Link's shadow. Also, great job capturing every detail in Dark Link's outfit from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, creating a dark version of the Master Sword and recreating the "Reflection Chamber" from the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time. Keep up the good work!

Cool thought, you know I like to create my own little back drops for video games that don't provide much background/story for the characters. The easiest to do this is Pokemon, I like to imagine my guy with various personalities depending on the version, Red is compassionate, if a bit hot headed, Gold is cool and collected, Sapphire, well he's a bit slow...

I agree with you. Fighting the same villain over and over again (Gannondorf) is getting old. However, I doubt things would be dull if from time to time the main bad guy was Dark Link. And you're right, he should have his own motivations, purposes, agenda and everything. And this drawing is simply divine! It has the usual movement blur and everything looks as it should. Excellent work!
