Meh, had to steal a title from a movie because I was at a total loss with what to call this one!
Anyway, this is from an OLD sketch (12 months next week to be precise) which was done referencing the pose from an Armani advert (I think it was Armani night) which has been sitting in my scraps for ages waiting to have something done to it...meh
anyway, one of my friends asked for a magical/fantasy picture of a girl for her birthday, so I decided to use this one..because I'm too lazy to draw at the moment and my anatomy sucks bigtime.
anyway, tried to use thinner lines having been inspired by the lines tutorial did recently, didn't quite turn out the way I wanted, meh, oh well, better luck next time
and you can tell this had been photoshopped bigtime, those butterflies are just screaming it (well, not that butterflies scream...BUT IF THEY HAD MOUTHS)
OK, maybe I should stop there for today...starting to lose it slightly, must come from 6 hours at a computer doing a picture in one sitting.

the coloring is beautiful. and i like the butterflies and the background, obviously photoshopped or not.
some problems, though, with the arms and the waist area. somethings just off there and the arms are different lengths. overall though, it looks great!

yeah, I know what you mean, the reference picture featured a girl walking down stairs, so I had to try and accomodate for that with the changed backdrop, and I don't think I bothered with the arms properly in the sketch. Ah well, it was a very old sketch, hopefully I'll continue to improve

She's meant ot be kinda walking downst, or forward, which is why the leg's a bit off. I can see what you mean from the shading perspective though

yeah, I think the neck does look a little long actually, but she's meant to have her chin up so that could just be the jawline. Also the hair doesn't help, it makes her neck look way to thin.

oh yah, also BTW, watched all your videos (bar 2 so far) and do you have any more of the "overlord" and "the melancholy of suzumaya haruhi" coz they were so awesome in HAVE to see more!

Overlord is just the name of the first episode, the actual TV series is called RahXephon, and it's one of my favorites. I've got the first 5 episodes in english, although if you want the others, you'll have to watch them in japanese with subtitles.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is extremely popular at the moment (it's overtaken cowboy bebop as the most highly rated anime series ever after about 10 episodes, which is quite an acheivement as there's something like 5000 different titles on the site which rates them)
I can get you the other 10 episodes of Haruhi if you want, And I could probably put the first 4 of fullmetal alchemist (dubbed) on there if you want, they're pretty good too.
Maybe I'll just give you a list of all the ones I could put on there...
