Description
Its crazy, looking back and seeing how I wished to keep this peice as just lines or even flat colored. But when I was in AP art, I showed it to my teacher and she encouraged me to color and shade it, develope the peice. At first, of course I felt it was fine the way it was and I felt it was perfect. As I worked on it, I will admit, I cried, I threw a fit, I wanted to give up. I hated it as I continued on, even not caring much of my use or material or how it turned out. 3 weeks, if not longer of working on and off it, I finished it and became pretty stoke on how well it turned out.
Now Instead of sitting in my sketch book, unifished, it hangs proudly on my wall . Many of my friends even offered to buy it from me, but it started out as a personal piece, and remains so.
I guess what Im getting at, never feel as if you are a failure, nor stop yourself from improving. Be open minded to artist critism and critiques. Never leave something unfinished.
