I was just reading yesterday how killing off Optimus in the animated movie was such a big mistake. They did it to sell new toys, but many kids were devastated. All of the deaths were to sell new toys..

No. I wasn’t happy when they killed OP. Back then, I had no idea that cartoons were created solely to sell toys. My kids watched the Thundercats reboot on Nick and they really liked it. They didn’t understand why it was cancelled after 1 season. I told them because they didn’t sell enough toys.
