A nice piece of Ahadi playing with his young son Taka! I dislike the theory that Ahadi was abusive towards his son, and I like to believe that the pair actually had a loving relationship. I believe that when Taka was young, he'd quite often spend time playing with his father as the other cubs were mean to him.

Unfortunately this relationship turned sour as Taka's hot headed personality developed and he was sadly manipulated to hate his family.

I think that when Scar talks to Simba about Mufasa in the movie, there is almost a feeling of regret and awkwardness when he speaks of a father and son bond. Maybe he's thinking back on a better time, when he loved his father just like Simba does...
