Description
The title character from The Creature From The Black Lagoon, also known as the Gill-man.A very poetic and strangely beautiful monster movie. Lots of symbolism and possibly one of the earliest films to have subtle threads of ecological morals.
It can be viewed as the perfect blend of suspense/horror in the flavor of Jurassic Park, and romantic/morality ala` the original King Kong.
The creature was actually expertly designed by a woman, go Youtube the documentary if you want more on that front, and the original design (it was tweaked for the second film and really screwed with for the third) was intricate in it's detail.
So here's the sketch that I will eventually finish in watercolors. I've already begun, and Gill will be in his natural muted colors, not the commonly used misconception of the tropical fish colors (and those God-awful red lips!)

Thank you.
Lol, want to hear something pathetic? That dawned on me yesterday in the middle of my shift at work.
I was like, "Argh! I can't get to a computer for six hours, he/she is going to think I'm an idiot!"
