Devil Drive would work, simply because of the shadow aspects yes. It'd basically do half damage.

Ah so Carval does have (?) the fire affinity... this is problematic.
... on the plus side, both of them *technically* can't fly. I know Ame can glide at most and Carval needs that Flame Burst to get air time; otherwise he's just as useless in the flight department.
