""Pitch black... cold... slowly dulling... the mind strains to it's mental capacity. The eyes clench shut and the chest aches, clenched fists held to the painful aching. A tear slips through closed lids... and tired eyes open to blinding light. Resolve weakens, heightened sensitivity. Blurred vision, damp cheeks... another tear falls. Stripped, baring scarce remnants. Struggling, refraining, self control. Holding onto that last bit of will, telling yourself it isn't real. Another drop slips across soft skin, and silently hits the floor. Breath followed by breath, the chest rises and falls with forced effort. The feet stagger and stumble, and the weight of the body crushes down, knees folding to hit the floor. The will shatters, the sobs escape, and each breath stabs at the chest. Silence--the most deafening sound, piercing, like a never ending tune.
These; merely the melodies of a broken heart."
