More Excalibur change ideas. The top three images focus on the bow protrusions. The image on the top left is what the model looks like now. There's really no reason to have a hollow space here. The top middle image is one idea, where I just fill in this space with hull. The top right image is an addendum to the first idea. The protrusions aren't very thick and it's hard to get turrets right on sloped surfaces in Sketchup so thickening the protrusions allows me to put flat indents to place weapons. While the Excalibur is practically the epitome of overkill, the top and bottom of the bow are 57 m apart, which is a pretty good sized area for a blind spot in point defense...

The bottom two images focus on the lower hangar bay doors. The lower section of the hangar pod is mostly for storage of additional fighters, these lower doors can be used to launch aux. craft such as Puddle Jumpers or even offload ground vehicles via a ramp when landed. The bottom left image is what it looks like know. The image on the bottom right is a change idea, adding a slight slope to the area instead of just a flat area.
