Description
Just for fun, a quick compilation of the Close Quarters Combat (CQC) weapons of the Takara Alliance Defense Forces as of 1-29-21. While modern and near future military technology exists in the world of Project 47, magic and fantastical technologies exist as well. Defensive magic can turn the force of an attack against itself, rendering firearms, shrapnel, and blast waves from explosions useless if a soldier can cast the spell in time. As a result certain ancient weapons of war, mostly one handed ones, are still part of a solder's standard issue equipment.
The S12 Polearm: The only two-handed CQC weapon in use by modern military forces, and even then only the elite Husark Corps uses it in specific situations. Has the added advantage of being able to be split into two weapons (a short spear and mace).

The S09 Dagger: A commonly used CQC weapon, though less favored than the S10 Combat Knife (not shown). Skilled soldiers are will dual wield the weapon with the S08 Sickle Sword, using the sword to pull in an enemy following up with a fatal stab with the dagger.

The S08 Sickle Sword: Swords are somewhat less commonly used than other CQC weapons as they require more training to master than an axe or mace. As such soldiers wielding them are easily identified as elites. The S08 in particular requires a good deal of finesse to master.

The S07 Combat Axe: The most commonly used CQC weapon in the TADF. Useful both on and off the battlefield. The designation S07 is also used for a pistol, so I may have to redo the designations or come up with a good excuse for that...

The S06 War Club: Almost as wide spread as the S07 Combat Axe, falling short only in its lack of utilitarian capabilities.

The pommels of the S09 and S08 have been redrawn while the S08 has been darkened in the non-cutting areas of the blade.
