Description
Here is some of the work that I did while developing the character Upchuck for the Cartoon Network Studios program Ben 10, the episode The Visitor. Many possiblities were generated for the idea of Upchuck. Some in fact were later to appear in the episodes Ben 10,000 and Ken 10 as both other heroes and villains.BEN 10 and all related characters are trademarks of and © Cartoon Network.

It does look that way, because when it got passed over for Upchuck, we later recycled him as Arctiquana, just as Spitter, Sploot and Gullet where also other unused upchuck prototypes. Good call.

the way I see it, if it doesn't get picked, it still has a chance for some other role later if it fits the needs of the part in the show. On a busy production, it can save you a lot of time.

I love #3, so human but just bizarre enough to be disconcerting and eerie.
The final choice was a good one, though. A cute little rodenty guy who happens to be a puking machine is clever and marketable!

I can see here that 10 D was the design that got accepted into the original show. But having seen the finale tonight, and thusly Upchuck's re-appearance, I can't help but notice that he looks more like 10 A now. Out of curiosity, I can't help but ask, was this a conscious decision, or was it just miscommunication?
