After literally years, I present the third, and probably final, entry in my Perfect Toa project: Perfect Lewa!!
Lewa is the Toa of Air. He is great fun to be around, as he is kind of the jokester of the group. Even so, he is unexpectedly wise, and very loyal to his team. The many trials he has endured at the talons of the Bohrok and other foes have taught him the value of unity. His air katana are light and swift, perfect for channeling his elemental energies.

Where I started with Lewa's build was his chest. I made the happy discovery that a 5-bend connector meshed perfectly with two of the Exo-toa vented armor pieces. For a long time I told myself that I wanted each Toa to have a standard Nuva torso armor piece somewhere in their build, so I had one paired with the two armor pieces for a while. However, it made him look potbellied, so I scrapped it and filled out his chest a little more instead.
Also, thank you, Lego, for making that Inika shoulder piece in lime. I really like the way they look as thigh armor. (They came in the Rockoh T4, which I don't have, so I just bought them off of Bricklink...)
And I just had to use those wing pieces as his katana blades. I mean, how can I resist?

EDIT 8/16/18: When I first started this project almost ten years ago, I had a specific goal in mind. I insisted on keeping their original masks and colors to keep the feel of the Toa Nuva, but I wanted to optimize their proportions and articulation as much as possible. To that end, I named them the Perfect Toa. However, as time has gone on and I have been able to step away from the project, I have acknowledged that no MOC is ever really perfect, and in fact, that there are actually many little nitpicks I have with these guys that I would go back and redesign if I got the chance. Therefore, I have decided to rename them something perhaps a little more fitting.
