I'd like to say that this is amazing! I love how you added different colors that merged greatly and the clouds...the color looks so nice that it almost looks real! Plus I love how you added all those birds just to add more design. It really looks you did a lot of effort on this so I would like to thank you for that! But I just wish you could add a little more design as the gryphon looks at the surroundings. But in all seriousness you did a great job! I look forward for even more from you now!

No I thank YOU for your motivating words and honest critique!Β

I will do my best to concentrate more on the design next time. Good that you mentioned it, so I can know what to practice more : )

As you requested a critique, allow me to observe that although this is a magnificent design, it can use some additional work. The background is lovely, yet the nearest clouds blend in too much with the distant. Also, if you add a little of the gryphon's colors to the nearground clouds, it will blend better. The shadows and the highlights on the gryphon need a little of the tones and colors of the clouds. Not much,, just a little. Let the clouds reflect a bit of the warm colors of the gryphon,, and a sheen of the blue white on some part of the feathers.
The design of the feathers themselves are very clear, powerfully distint. Yet,,, for animal anatomy, please consider that all wing feathers are not clones of each other, but have differing and distinct shapes and irregularities. Same with the head and neck feathers, they should not all be exactly the same. You can make the lower neck, or cape feathers, longer, with different color patterns. Check out Peter Paul Rubens painting of Prometheus, for the eagle there. Or his Ganymede.
I would also say study some lion anatomy for muscles and tendon lines, and the shape of the mass of the bosy, too.Β  I like your colors, and fur,, but fill in what is under them!
Just my thoughts, sorry to nit-pick. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your honest critique. That are some very nice tips and I will try them out for sure. That's why I'm always asking for critique - everyone see something different.
But I would like to ask, do the clouds really "take" some colors from the near objects ?
When it goes about the lion anatomy, I noticed the lack of anatomy skills too, that's why I decided to train the anatomy of a lion at the beginning. But I thought it would make more fun if I could practice the anatomy with a more interesting animal/creature like a gryphon. Thats' s why you can see the gryphon over this comments, which was my first lion (and eagle) anatomy practice. I know, I should make some sketches before, but after I made the first one, I wanted to stay by it. My fault.
I will definitely check Peter Paul Rubens and train a lot of animal (and human, because there I suck even more) anatomy.
Thank you: )
