Description As a tribute for my most popular picture The Rise of a Planet that recently hit 6.000 favs I came up with this scene. The image is also part of The Luminarium's latest exhibition called Gaia (www.theluminarium.net). My girlfriend helped me a lot with suggestions during the work.

(ΓΌbrigens kriegt man die Streifen, die durch die FarbverlΓ€ufe in den dunklen Bereichen erzeugt werden, mit nem Rauschfilter weg, zumindest ein bisschen. Reicht schon ein ganz leichtes Rauschen, das stΓΆrt dann auch nicht)

hm hab ich probiert. das problem an dieser stelle ist auch die jpg komprimierung, die einfach fΓΌr paar abzΓΌge bei den ΓΌbergΓ€ngen sorgt. die vollaufgelΓΆste druckdatei sieht eigtl ganz gut aus

Good thing I stayed up 20 minutes later than I said I would The colours in this are very nice and relaxing, perfect for the natural 'out in Africa" theme. And I don't think I've seen anyone illustrate this kind of eclipse before (the kind where the moon is a little more distant than usual and doesn't cover the sun entirely, but forms a dark disc in the middle of it instead ) That little monkey reminds me of those "Barrel of monkeys" toys I'm sure many of us had as kids
