Inspiration for this little project came from an image of Yuri Shwedoff. Of course many different wallpaper sizes are available for download again. Other images with a different core element and mood are going to follow.Wallpaper (widescreen and normal sizes) available here: gtgraphics.de/wallpapers/forgoβ¦

This truly is an intriguing concept. I've always wondered about the fact that history appears to repeat itself, because eventually we seem to forget what wars, pollution, and a general non-caring attitude can do.
It could also be much simpler; I don't think our current climate change is man-made. Humanity may have, in some small way, contributed to it, but I believe it's a natural cycle our planet goes through.
Be that as it may, any disaster, no matter what the cause, usually has a few survivors, and as long as there are survivors, the continuation of a species is guaranteed. Who knows what another 3 millennia will bring? Egypt could very well be a green and humid, almost Anglican looking landscape, and archaeologists will wonder how part of an apparent rock formation suddenly appears like a man-made pyramid; that is if all records are lost.
You have captured a potential future in a striking, but also in an almost sad, and moody kind of way. A time when humanity once again must learn anew all the technological marvels it once possessed; but also, that there is always light amidst the even darkest times.
While the overall concept of a dystopian future is nothing new (hence my impact rating), this particular concept I haven't seen before. Pyramids in conjunction with futuristic technology are no rarity, but to see Egypt in a setting like this, a pyramid enclosed in rock which has amassed over the many centuries, but to also still see it having survived as a monument to, by then, truly ancient times; that is a great vision indeed! And the overall quality of the piece cannot be faulted. I'd love to be able to point out some flaws to help, but I cannot find any.
Nicely done! Sehr gut!

I love what you've done here. You've combined photography with top-notch computer graphics to create something truly spectacular.
I can't help but think this pic is set at least four thousand years after our time: a series of natural and man-made disasters have ravaged Earth and killed over half of its lifeforms. Humans, animals, plants, bacteria and everything else barely escape extinction after a bunch of spaceships leave the planet in order to colonize outer space.
The loss of so many lives virtually wipes out science and technology as we know them, with most surviving scientists, technicians, experts, etc., departing the planet. As consequence, surviving human societies have to do without modern commodities and medical advancements, reverting mankind to a state where people must pray that at least one out of over a dozen sons and daughters will live to adulthood, grown men and women consider themselves old if they live to age thirty, and one is more likely to bump into the Loch Ness monster than find someone over the age of forty. During this time, a wandering knight travels to Egypt, finds the ruins of an ancient pyramid uncovered by the sands of time and prepares to enter, unaware of what awaits inside...
This pic is exceptional in terms of composition. I quite like how you confined shadow and darkness to the edges and bottom of the frame, as if the wanderer has rediscovered a civilization long forgotten. The knight himself is a creature of radiance and blackness, since he is a scion of "fallen" humanity greeted by light from the heavens, inviting him to uncover millennial mysteries and somehow bring this world back to life. Hell of a job, as always; I'd love to see a movie that features your art and concepts.

Hey dude, I follow you for year, I really love your works, especially spacescapes but I think this kind of matte paint is not yourΒ essence, I do not how can I explain to you because I have a lack of vocabulary, damn I need to practise, I loved this new art but I really think that in spacescapes you are the one of the best, saludos

well thanks for your feedback. I'm just not that much into space art anymore... from time to time it's okay but I like to do other stuff as well.

Trust a spoiled king to want an impractically massive monument built in an impractically difficult place. But man - does it add some bang to the scenery Great mood and lighting. It's unusual to see a pyramid-like structure in a cool mountainous climate

If Alien had been set in a fantasy realm, in some alternate universe, this could easily have been the promo poster; it strongly reminds me of the scene where the crew of Nostromo are walking up to the Derelict spacecraftΒ
