Love this picture man, I like this style how do you do it? Corel Painter? What brushes, custom made? With out meaning to sound cheeky I wish to emulate this style, but no matter what I try I canβt pin it down. How do you get those sweet wavy smooth lines, which seem to wrap themselves around the main figure? This picture is big (London slang for exceptional) I need to learn!

yep, Painter IX and palette knife brushes, nothing custom. haha and i cant really claim this kinda style as mine, seeing as i got the whole idea of using palette knives from and as u'll notice, he's much much better with it

btw.. i was just wondering.. how do u get the hair to end off at a tip like that with the pallette knife? whenever i use it.. it's a chunky square-ish stroke

oh thats just tilting the palette knife the right way when ur making a stroke, kinda like when u use the side of conte for lifedrawing or seomthing

lol whaaat? hmm, how to explain....the direction or angle ur pen is tilted when u draw changes the angle of the brush on painter..unless of course, its not enabled or seomthing...i dont really know

once again, this has a beatioful sense of ovment, something that's really played up by the tense pose and the bluring effect on the sword.o i really do like the colouring style you employed for these last two drawings. the monotonal blue creates a wonderful effect.
