Description [It looks very pretty (and much better, amazingly enough) in full-view. Kwee? *points to upper left hand corner* >> Or, if you don't happen to like DA, here's a link via imageshack: Full View Here . Seriously, you can't really see anything in DA preview...]

The Power of Doodling.

I kid you not. I was thinking, hey, maybe I could draw another fanart of Nejiten for the festival...so I started drawing like, random positions and VIOLA! It looked anatomically possible so I continued with it and like whoa, it was done.

I really like how the hands came out. I remember hating having to draw hands and now...I kinda like (trying to draw) them. I purposely made their hands the central point (okay, maybe that was a miracle from how the doodle-anatomy came out). It's...kind of one step further than my Caught You and A Break in Autumn; intertwining the fingers like that.

I now believe that Neji and Tenten are symbolized by red maple leaves. Somehow. It's three times in a row I've used that brush now for Nejiten; and somehow it just...fits. I think I'm getting better at drawing profiles too. *stares* Anatomy, not so much. XP Oh, and I laugh at background. Muchly.

Personally, I would dump Tenten like a hot potato considering I just hate her and instead cheer Temari on, but I find Neji to be my second favorite all time characters, after Itachi that is. Any way...
I like the hands as it is nicely done, although shadings and foldings in cloths would be nice. (Excuse my horrible spelling as it is at night...) I suggest obersving other peoples clothes and how they fold when one moves and look at the shadows on their skin as well; doing a lot of people watching and just plain observing anime and manga is a good step also looking at other peoples art, really good ones like heise, deland-fox, blackeri and a few others would help you too. So, yeah, digging around DA and staring at other peoples art for hours on end is a good thing.
The background is very nice by the way; it could somehow go on a Hallmark card. ^^

Thanks! Yeah, I'm planning on taking a drawing class next quarter so hopefully I'll learn the "secert" of folds and wrinkles. They are woefully absent in my drawings.

(Ee-hee, another reason to go on DA and *cough* not study...XP Just kidding.)

Thanks. ^^ I'm glad at least some people are looking at it. And like it.

And yes. Maple leaves somehow transcend Nejiten. XP
