"Denim"
I'm getting into this a step late in the dance, so to speak, and I'm in the wrong time zone to boot--it's Tuesday here--but this seems like such a darned awesome idea that I couldn't resist.
That said, here is my take on the first prompt. "DENIM."
My first thought: What? What the frick? Do they even have denim in the Avatarverse? Is this supposed to be a modern AU sketch, because I don't, um...what?
My second thought: Heyyyyy. Wait. What about that idea I had ages ago, with the cropping and the textures and the....yeaaaaaah.
One hour, one simple design sketch, several texture downloads, and a lot of cropping and magic wanding later...

This is my favorite of the "denim" entries so far. =3 I totally thought you had truly painted on denim, when I first opened it!

Wow, thank you! Yeah, it's 100% digital manip. I downloaded photos of paper and paint and cloth, then lassoed the shapes out of a simple design sketch I scanned, and used them to cookie-cutter the appropriate shapes out of the right colors and textures and paste them over the photo of denim.
(Katara's clothes and ribbon are denim, too! Just a finer, lighter weave of denim.

I love the combination of the different textures. It looks like it would make a fun patch for jeans or something, lol, if this were the nineties XD. And it was fun to see something other than Katara in Daisy Dukes...

Teehee, I already want to resurrect some nineties styles XD When I'm a mama somedays, I want my little girls to have GIANT bows and polka dots and froofy dresses and match each other, just like I did XD And the long-sleeves with shorts, those are classic. <3

TEEHEE, my brother had a TMNT party for his birthday once. We had our garage done up like their sewers and everyone wore green surgical masks and stuff ^^ I twas AWESOME

oh MAN, you have no idea!!! I hold the most AWESOME Harry Potter parties ever XD I have pictures on my photobucket account ^^ I made banners for the four houses, and we had fake lanterns and all and a real sorting hat, and AWESOME activities and decorations. Teehee, if you don't know HP, then you don't know what I'm talking about, lol.

Bah, photobucket is having maintenance....I'll certainly link ou as soon as I can! Summer '07 was the 3rd in my "series" of HP parties (book 5, movie 3, and book 7). My mom used to be in charge of giant church parties, and we kept all the supplies and I also collected my own over the years...they're pretty epic. =O This was the first party to be hosted in our smaller house, so it was quite difficult to figure out how to arrange without having huge halls and such available. And I lost my 100 paper candles/flames that had been strung up in the hall, too. Sad day. I still think the HP '07 party went well, though, teehee, and that's what I have pictures of...when photobucket decides to cooperate, lol!
