Description
The Addai Footlocker class of truck is the standard heavy transport vehicle for the Coalition. Capable of moving 20 or more tons depending if you want the vehicle overloaded or not the vehicle was designed around ease of operation and crew protection. The Footlocker class trucks are almost all set up with an extended heavy-weight bed behind a machine-gun tower/crew compartment. Original cargo trucks were found to be prone to ambushes and guerilla attacks. This problem was solved by mounting ever cargo truck with 3 Heavy Machine Guns in the vehicle's own personal pillbox. This allows for convoy heavy operations with a limited escort presence in hostile areas. The Addai Footlocker class of trucks has been modified and jury rigged into numerous different modifications, most of them being the classic field modification of troops. However six of these modifications have become vehicle standard production variants. These include the following:
Addai Darrhon (Lesser healing) class Ambulance. With a small mobile surgical ward with 1 bed forward of the cargo compartment, and triple-stacked stretcher racks along either side of the rear section of the cargo compartment. It should be noted that the Addai Darrhon Ambulance is infact armed. However, this is due to the lack of commonality of factions different reactions to ambulances as targets or not as targets. Typically the Addai Darrhon however is never used to employ those weapons in an offensive behavior, keeping the weapons entirely defensively. However, the Addai Darrhon is used as a combat ambulance to move wounded and critically wounded troops out of active warzones, where bullets are currently flying. The ambulance compartment of the truck is almost overly armored to keep the troops within safe.
Other variants include a mobile SAM battery, a Anti-Tank gun in a 180 degree mounting, a Command center vehicle, and a mixed generator/Sensor Array vehicle.
