Description
Emily had been on Sodor since the S&M railway days in 1870. She was their primary passenger locomotive, taking the express of it's time. She was great friends with Sean, Neil and Rolf the box tanks, Hero, a GNSR Class 1 and Wilson, a GER 2-2-2T (later rebuilt as a 4-2-2T and again as a 2-2-4T). While the W&S engines remained on the NWR after 1915, unfortunately, the S&M engines were not so lucky. In 1910, Rolf and Sean were cut up, and the other 4 were safely hidden away in old abandoned sheds of the railway. Emily herself was the first to be rescued in 1970, and rebuilt to being the last of the batch of GNR Singles, along with other modern modifications. She now runs on Edward's branch with her coaches, Austin and Justin. Emily also has gained affections for the blue engine, and it isn't long before they are together, sharing simalier interests and morals.
