Backstory for couple: Vanilla is no stranger to being a mother, having raised Cream on her own ever since her husband died. While she was good at doing this, she felt lonely. Meanwhile, Vector was also a 'parent' of sorts, rising the young Charmy in his detective agency as his own son. Even with his 'brother' Espio's help, Charmy could be something of a handful. Vector seeked help from Vanilla at times, and the two became really close. Eventually, this friendship turned to love, and Espio and Charmy had become like brothers to Cream as well.

In the future, Vector still works for the Chaotix Freedom Fighters and the Detective Agency, and Vanilla helps them out whenever she gets the chance. They also have a son and daughter: Argyle and Carrot.

Argyle: First born of Vector and Vanilla, older brother of Carrot, younger half brother of Cream, uncle of Sugar, Skye and Cookie. Not much of Argyle's personality is shown in the unaltered timeline, though he seems to be rather shy and is considered by his father to be something of a homeboy. In the altered future he is clearly shown to be a loyal and respectful friend, as well as something of an admirer of the previous generation of heroes, especially King Sonic who he "geeked out" over when he said his trademark line of "Let's do it to it".

Carrot: Second born of Vector and Vanilla, younger sister of Argyle, younger half-sister of Cream, aunt of Sugar, Skye and Cookie. (She's a WIP)
