Description
Having finished the Xmas card envelopes (and mailed them), I decided I should probably build the drawers for my new desk. I didn’t quite finish them, but I might be able to tomorrow and get them loaded up with the remaining art supplies from my old studio. It’s been a while since I’ve done any sketching/straight up practice, so that’s what I decided to do tonight. I had started this portrait sketch a few weeks ago, but instead of my normal work flow, I decided to do some experimenting. I kind of stumbled on to a style while working on the recent commissions that I want to see if I can adapt and make work for my comic-type work. So far, it’s pretty time consuming, but I think I may be able to speed things up. I’m looking to find a balance between the ink work I love, along with pencils and paint. We’ll see where this all goes, and how I can apply it to PMD. It’s good to play.
