Description

I was heading over to work the other day and was walking with my old camera because I wanted to be able to walk around without feeling silly for having a huge T3i with no backpack for it, and saw this squirrel. My town has a crazy amount of these guys, and the weather today was great, so they were all outside digging around for their winter food. Needless to say a lot of cats were also outside conveniently, but I hadn’t seen any confrontations to say the least. Anyways, these guys aren’t so afraid of people, so you can get pretty close sometimes, so I was able to stand at least 8 feet away, maybe 7 or 6 feet, and take a few shots.

The one thing I love about my old camera is it’s zoom, which I haven’t gotten a new lens for my T3i to make up for it’s default lens being pretty bland on both macro and far photography, so I forgot how nice it was to be able to zoom in this far.

Also, the day after this photo was taken it went straight back down to winter weather with rain-sleet-snow mix, and then today it's back to spring weather once more, silly Midwest. Now the squirrels are working overtime in fear of more snow.
