I don't understand what is wrong with food photos or why you have to defend yourself about them.

There's a huge social taboo against taking photos of your food; it's almost always made fun of in the comic world. This text was taken from my tumblr page, which I haven't posted food stuff on before, and didn't know how my followers would react (a few have unfollowed because I once discussed my migraines I used to have), so I guess I went on the defensive side to ensure my follower count.
