"STARMANE!" PowerStrike shouted,running to her mane as her eyes were wide open in disbelief. Her Sister and Mother were soon joined by her side,sniffing and nudging Starmane before confirming he was dead. There was an unfamiliar male lion scent on him. Quick stepped out of the bushes after stopping by the lake to clean his bloodied eye socket. When he stepped out of the tall grass,an evil grin spread across his face. "Your mane is dead,I am QuickMane,and you are my huntresses by the rights of pride-" The lion was cut off when PowerStrike roared and lunged at him. "You demon!" she snarled in his face,causing him to shrink. SharpTongue carefully pushed her daughter off the no-mane and calmed her down. "PowerStrike,as weak as this no-mane is,he defeated our mane. I'm sorry,daughter." She spoke and turned to the large male. "As the hunt chief of the sister's steppe and by the rights of pride law,I accept you as my mane...when you kill the cubs." She finished,knowing her grandcubs were still alive. PowerStrike rose up,panic and anger in her voice "Wait,where are my cubs?! Where are they you half-blind idiot!" She snarled. She then turned to the tree,where she smelled the blood...her daughter and son both suffered injuries,and her other son was missing. Powerstike teared up as strided over to her son,Spark,and her Daughter,nudging the both of them. Fire was missing. but she knew her daughter and missing son were still alive. Determination filled her eyes "My cub's scent is on you! She bested you! Meaning you can't kill them!" She snapped. QuickMane spoke quickly "It said something demonic before it attacked me! I demand to rematch and kill that cub!" SharpTongue roared loudly,which she rarely did due to her old age and immediately,everyone closed their muzzles. "Enough! We will go back to the steppe and discuss matters!" And that was final. PowerStrike was too busy sobbing to remember her cubs were alive.
