A few of you asked about color picking on this piece, and since pictures are better than words, threw this together. I'll scrap this once the interested parties have seen it.I feel like I should have a disclaimer about how this is a really NOT GREAT way to do color, generally speaking. This process relies on 2 things: 1- having a light-emitting and single-layered (spatially) background. So basically a magical element haha. and 2- having a sensational concept which relies not on storytelling but on cheap tricks to grab the viewer's attention. So, you know. You've been warned!

It might seem like a cheap trick, but on the other hand... it's a lot more interesting than circles or colored rectangles that you see people stick behind characters all the time.

I love this. While I agree with you that this isn't really the sort of process you'd use all the time, I think it gave a lot of insight to your color choices and how you decided to break this up. I think in the hands of someone much less skilled this would have been muddy as hell, and you really made it all pop. Excellent work, as usual

Actually, not really imo (or maaaybe very slightly.) That hair is pretty exaggerated.
