Description
Hi! I took a break from my studies and finished this. They are 3 easy tutorials (2 for SAI and one for PhotoShop). Keep in mind they are not intended to be anything pro or advanced so if you are somewhat used to any of these two programs you may already know these tips. But if you are a beginner or you just didn't figure it on your own, they could help you a little ^^
Be sure to full view the deviation to read the tutorials!
I hope I can post it correctly. My connection's been working really bad lately ; _ ;

lel I've done the 'perfect circle in SAI' before XD
Did the same thing and used transform to make it into an oval for Purumi's Commission.
I'm nt surprised to find that in a tutorial = D
Thanks for the dreamy effect and pattern ones though!

The easy patterns especially~! I love putting details in clothing,
but that technique looks like it'll make it a lot easier and better looking,
Thanks so much~

I've been using SAI for a while now and it never occured to me to use that technique to make circles.
The pattern tip is also very useful. Thanks for posting this!

Nice tips! You should make a weekly series of stuff like these. Call em: toi-chan's quickies. XD
If anything, I'd really like to know how you plan out your shadows (minus the light source and stuff, we already know that). Dang, they're beautiful!

Wow, thanks for the tutorials ^_^ I do all my lineart in sai and can't believe I never thought of that to make circles, I always leave them out and then add them in photoshop with the circle tool ^///^; I'm so dense sometimes. I don't colour much in sai but thanks for the cool tips on the patterns. I'll need to try colouring in there some and try it out.

Great tutorials! :3
I have a suggestion about the "Dreamy Effect in PS" part. Instead of merging the layers and copying them and then undoing them and pasting the merged layer on top, you can just as easily select the entire canvas (regardless if all the layers are merged or not) and then click Edit > Copy Merged. It basically does the same thing, but it's much less of a hassle! :3

You can merge all layers with just one key command though. It's not really a hassle :U

I'm not saying what she's suggesting in this tutorial is bad or like a HUGE hassle, but the Copy Merged method is just one less step. That's all!

FireflyRaye In reply to ayuICHI [2011-02-04 21:46:10 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but then you have to undo it all as this tutorial suggests. When you do Copy Merged, you don't have to do all that merging and un-merging business. :3

Buenos tips C:
Yo en vez de aplanar la imagen y copiarla, uso Ctrl+Shift+C , que creo que es mΓ‘s seguro, en caso de que no puedas volver atrΓ‘s o algo *paranoica*
