Description Method 1: with using Blender 2.46b

When you convert to pmd-format you must copy all bone names for correct work with motions data

ATTENTION: If you have Python Script Error
In general you need open model in XNAlara 11.5 and hight (good version ):
1) Modify->Save generic Item-> select save only visible and hidden unused bones
2) After save re-open saved xps.xps and clicly Modify-> Clean Armature
3) Re-open again and then save mesh.ascii
4) Retry convert with Blender - now must work

If still not converted, try use 3dsmax. Scripts for import XNAlara model and export to PMD (no need change parametres for good porting) sta.sh/222s86xe7lpz?edit=1

Some models need be fixed in xnalara
Open xnalara 11,5 or 6, clicky Modify-> Clean armature (in down of range) and save in original folder
Then click File-> Reset Scene aand re-open saved .xps file, now click Modify-> Save as mesh.ascii -> select "save mesh.ascii format"
Then model must be converted in Blender, if no - say me, I'll see what is problem

What model you try convert? Not at all models can be converted in Blander

When I export to PMD it give me an error 'phython script error: check console'. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do yo install python to comp?
Also if you see message model must be fix in xps or cannot be convert in blender

If you have or found plugin for converting 3ds max to daz, you can use this method
Just replace pmd-import-export to daz-convert and this must work

I've tried to convert with your tutorial a XPS model, when I've set "Export to PMD file" everything works until a error named :
KeyError: 'unused.522'
Maybe you help me if you can

I think, you need open mesh.ascii in notepad and replace "unused ready to delete" and "unused" to any default name, save with replacing and try again
If it not work, must be converted with 3ds max

I so understand - my comp not can convert some models to MMD, example 3 skyrim dragons and FF13 characters I must convert like .obj and re-draw bone weight

Oh, you have this problem too ?   Why convert should be so difficult ...?  
But... Even convert with 3DS MAX method fail with your models

I don't know even how correctly use Blender so for 3DS Max... I don't even imagine  
I thought Metasequoia could help me but even with this, I can't...

I downloaded XPS on your OneDrive, but when I launch "XNALara XPS.exe" I just have a pop-up "XPS has stopped running", what should I do ?
I also tried to import in Blender a file .mesh.ascii (donwloaded directly from DeviantArt) but it says that there is an error in python.
May you help me ?

For blender you must install Python 2.6 (placed in one folder with blender on one-drive)

Original bones names not use motions data
But if they will renaming like mmd standart it's work
