Description How to convert models from Skyrim to XNAlara with original bones
I'm so sorry for bad screenshots, but on my slow computer screensnap work bad with other programm

Static models (weapons, houses) no need bones: just import nif-file in 3ds max and export to obj
Faces of characters not have facial bones, can be found in charactes-> facegendata folder (file have ID-number, not a name of character!)


P.S. Not at all models can be converting: some have invalid meshes, physics or bones
Just try re-convert after reset computer or re-download if you extract mod
Some models need editing texture - like mammoth, snow giant and humans (very-very grey skin in XPS)
Sometime human skins may be displayed in black - i'll try to fix it in notepad (change render-group to 39 or 41)

I see some anime models only meant for skyrim (bleach), is possible use this and import it to xnalara? I don'y know if a anime model has the same compatibility as a realistic skin game like skyrim

Yep, all mods and models from skyrim can be conversable with this method
Yeah, I never use anime mods for sky... I almost no use mods..lol

hello, i followed your steps until i export the model as generic item mesh and cant go further

when i export the model as fbx files, it says modifiers above skin (or physique) in stack (6), but still let me go on.

then i reset and imported the fbx files, it says 'bindpose - incomplete bindpose [link nodes] (65) and
bindpose - incomplete bindpose [link nodes parents] (103), but can still go on

and i just added one textures and try to export as generic item mesh, then it says' runtime error: skin need to be selected and in the modifier panel skin:skin

i'm not sure where i have done wrong, and i hope i have provided enough information for you to diagnose, many thanks!

Hmm.. strange - he always say any like "troubles with folowed physique" or some, but must work
What model you try convert? Some models have unrecognised bugs

It converte normal, too long for me and I must re-parent some bones, but possible (I send to u converted)
Strange body - not for elves proportion

All my models have tablet with "Following bone troubles" or "physique errors", but you must say "ok" and this will be save correctly

If you need only change color - just download Irfran View for open DDS-textures, save in needed format for edit (PNG or JPEG), edit in Photoshop or else, and save in DDS-format again

holy, thanks a bunch! I want to do a test by changing a Skyrim's Moded Follower model to a DOA 5 girl Kasumi's Ninja Outfit....(My waifu) ....so i would try this process and see how this goes.

No - OC's face in Skyrim pussled from warious details and saved not like united model
I was try extract my OC - this is impossible with FO archiver
But you can try use 3d Ripper DX for 3d-screen with you OC - I'll try to rig for you
