It took veeeery long to paint this one (even the drawing itself). At first I was shocked when I saw the first layers of yellow and violet colors. It looked awful. No primroses for me for a looong time...I made so many different layers of yellow and green and it just didn't want to end.
The flowers in the painting are: peonies, primroses, violets and snowdrops
In other words...spring flowers!
I made the painting for the group , for their monthly theme "Spring".
Yes, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and do something theme related. This is my 2nd attempt (the first was the landscape painting - Blejski otok).

For the birds I used a reference photo where they both were placed the same way as in my drawing. This was my starting point for the rest of it. Everything else I changed and made it my own
That's why the drawing for this painting took ages
And then the coloring...a never ending story
