Description

Slightly dim-witted but undeniably determined, Barry is the well-liked and energetic deputy of BlizzardClan.

His life before BlizzardClan was short and simple- a childhood friend named Diamond stole the scarf he always wears from a small human child and gifted it to him when he was about 4 moons old. He was found injured at the border as a loner, having been chased by a 'big wolf' as he described to Bellapaw, one of the young apprentices that found him. He quickly bonded with Bellapaw, who later became Belladonna. They became close friends as they both became Combatants, and Barry unintentionally fell head-over-heels for her. Moving up the ranks was fairly quicker for him than most cats- Palestar saw potential in him as Head Combatant and when the deputy of BlizzardClan, Lunarbite, was killed, Palestar chose Barry as his sucessor. Soon afterwards, his former apprentice Rosedusk died, and after recieving Belladonna's support, he admitted his love for her and she reciprocated his feelings. Now, they are expecting kits.

Barry, despite his potential, is far from perfect- even his mate agrees he is hasty, often rushing into things without thinking properly,and sometimes even gets others into danger because of this. His voice is ridiculously loud and he sometimes doesn't even realise he's shouting, though he can be soft-spoken when it's really needed. Often, he makes his presence very clear, and is far from subtle; and to make matters worse, he gets chronic tunnel-vision whenever he is asked to do a task.

However, Barry also possesses tremendous willpower- his aforementioned one-track-mind can be surprisingly useful when used properly. When he complete's a task, it's to a high standard, and his willpower often motivates others to do the same. He's sweet and affectionate, sometimes to the point of being overbearing, but nonetheless is a trait most generally favour. His speed is well-known and even envied by some, and he has incredible stamina to back it up- though, he isn't particularly graceful and, although strong and fierce, fights very clumsily at times.
