Description A preview of a pack of 38 matte/satin sheen military vehicle paint shader presets for the DAZ Studio version of Nvidia Iray, shader presets that I intend to make available for free download, both from here and from sharecg, I don't know when, though. All colours have been carefully researched to be as accurate as possible, including matching against Federal Standard 595 for all US colours. The colours cover every time period from WW II until today, and include US, British and Soviet/Russian colours, plus German Feldgrau Nr.3 from WW II and a Swedish olive green shade that is a very good generic dark olive green.

If anyone wonders what the pink shader is it's an American primer, "Red Oxide III", while the yellow one is a Soviet colour called "7K yellow earth". And the three black shaders don't look the same up close, since neither of them is a true black but has colour tinge, a different tinge for each of them.

Oh, sorry about that, I had completely forgotten those shaders (too much "real life", too little time for fun). They' re all on my hard drive, so I'll wrap them up and upload them...

I haven't had time for hobbies for the past few months, but I'll try to get the shaders uploaded within the next few days.

Wow, you are amazing, I can't wait for the pack to be released ! Thank you in advance !

PS: It's very nice and generous from your part to share your work for free ! But even if you do it for money, I would be glad to pay for it and purchase your products, because they are of very good quality (proof: the previous (mega)pack, already released, containing the Iray CarPaint shaders).

Thanks. It doesn't take me long to make them since I know both where to find information about colours, both military colours and civilian car colours, and how to edit Iray shaders, so I can do them in much less time than most others can. Another reason for giving the shaders away for free is that it might get more people interested in using DAZ Studio for car renders, which in turn might increase the number of good 3d-models of cars and other "hard objects" that are available for DAZ Studio, in its native format, so that I don't need to spend time on importing and adapting objects made for other 3d-software...
