What a poweful image! And also revolutionary in a way. We live in absurd culture that only allows to asciate flowers with women, and I fully embrace anything against that, specially with a great work like all of yours.
Anher thing I like very much about this picture is its atemporality. The image remains me some renaisance and baroque paintings. It has something really special on the air. And you (and your models) have been capable to show much more things that the visible ones...

Thank you! Another wonderful insight. I like to create head pieces and adornments for the body out of found objects and plants. In the process there is really no thought as to male or female. Only what looks good to me and what looks good on the models. In this case I used sage and flowers that were at our feet and arranged them into the headbands that are hand-woven fabrics from Indonesia. Andy and Duma immediately went into character without any prompting from me and the images from this particular moment are amongst my all-time favorites in this genre. There is no question as to their maleness, their strength and their nobility.
