this is such a masterful accomplishment..artistically profound and intensely erotic..the sepia tones heighten the visual pleasure..

Thank you very much. From such simplicity came something that really works on so many levels. Aaron is a dear friend and Jed is my partner - quite an amazing thing to experience them so beautifully together. Thanks for your thoughtful comment.Β

One must always find time to rest before continuing on one's journey. Β Β
By the way, I was out hiking the Narrows in Zion a couple weeks ago and you came to mind. I thought about how differently than most you view such surroundings. It is a beautiful place for photography, and a bit challenging with a limited amount of long shadows, much like what you've taken here. Β

They can be harsh and unforgiving but I find Utah's wildlands to be endlessly fascinating and an amazing setting for my work, which often explores the relationship between us and the earth. Glad you got to experience some of it in Zion's Narrows - pretty amazing place that I've yet to explore for pictures.Β

Thank you! The reflection of the red rocks onto their bodies creates that beautiful, subtle pink you're referring to. It's pretty wonderful.

Great shot, I love how their skin tones seem to match that of the rocks, perhaps from dust getting on their skin Lovely photo!

Thank you! It's just the natural reflected color from the rocks that creates the illusion of dust on their skin. It's amazing how that happens.Β

Yeah it kind of is, it doesn't even sound real to me, even though you've explained it to me

Yes, there is a subtlety here in the interaction between them that could easily be missed at first blush. I think it's that element that is most compelling and beautiful to me and was the reason why I chose this image over so many other ones that worked.Β
