This is less of a “sci-GI hero caricature” look than you usually see for Cain. It’s more believable.
It’s really perfect if you think about it: the caricature on the book covers is the Imperial propaganda image of Ciaphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM. This is the real dude behind all the advertising.

I always pictured Chiphas as a smug asshole. I made it through about 4 or 5 of the books until they felt too repetative. I loved the writers first two Inquisitor books, he still needs to finish that trilogy.
I used a british soldier as reference cause I wanted Jurgen as a special forces smelly bad ass.
