This was a crucial scene which changed the story in a quite unexpected way. At least my watchers claimed it. During his mental confrontation with Shade, the manifestation of the corruption that has befallen the stallion (that's why his fur is black), Sagitta's spirit appeared and helped her husband to withstand the ruthless tricks and manipulations of the Draconequus spirit.

First she was under his control though. Dominated by his will Sagitta has been forced to watch her husband suffer until the day he begged for her forgivness. The chains of control have been broken and together they faced Shade. In the end they suceeded at resisting the anger of the manifestation of a race long gone.

His mind was free so was the spirit of his wife. Even if it was only a very short moment... they were together again. After a thousand long years they were together. Husband and Wife.
