Description
Arthur Jermyn is a minor character from a rather clumsy horror story by H.P. Lovecraft. The story tells how Jermyn ended up offing himself after he found out the sinister history of his family, which basically revolved around old great grand-pappy having kids with an ancient, albino African ape goddess. The story itself can be seen as racist and xenophobic, which in itself was quite a common trope for Lovecraft as he often portrayed the worshipers of the great old ones as degenerated half breeds of various races.
