Description
Was going to use this in the profile picture I'm working on, but changed my mind. The animal will probably still feature, but just not like this. This is more of a study for that piece, actually.Anyway, it's not my best work, but thought it was worth putting up.

Did you speculate on what the head might look like? It seems bigger than the typical small, shallow depictions.

When this image was drawn in 2012, Australovenator's closest reletive with enough cranial material to extrapolate skull shape from was Neovenator, which this illustration is based on. Since then a Megaraptor skull has turned up, and is much lower and longer than that of Neovenator. If I were to do a reconstruction now it would be based on that.

The thick lines are kind of part of the style I was going for. They might be thinner in the final version though, the thick lines didn't look all that great on the human.

For a second there I thought this was going to be yet ANOTHER gorilla suit Austoraptor. Good thing I was wrong ;D

Shouldn't the big, fat, allosauroid head have been a dead givaway? XP

It would be pretty shocking to have one coming from one of the main feathered non-avian dinosaur promoters. XD
