Description
A relatively quick one here (< 2 hours), of the almost-dinosaur Silesaurus opolensis. So often states that my traditional pencil work looks like " the kind of drawings that might grace an explorer's notebook". Well, for this one, I took that idea and ran with it; and you know what? I like it. I'm now thinking I'm going to do a whole series of archosaurs in this way. Though I'll probably take more time on those, think of this one as a prototype.
This will also likely be at least part of my entry for this months Hell Creek art challenge: [link]

I don't know how I've missed this one. I like it a lot, the textures and shading are really well done!

Wouldn't Silesaurus likely have transition scales /scale spines, being a dinosauriform and all...?

I really like this drawing, and the underlying idea.

Very cool. You should write an accompanying entry from your "field journal" to go with it.

Silesaurids are very cool. It's a shame that they went extinct in at the end of the Triassic.
